The Birth of Flavaz. My name is Tania Watson. I am the Chef and Owner of Flavaz, LLC. I was born and raised in Norristown, PA by my grandmother, Yvonne Watson. My Nana had a passion for cooking and entertaining her family and friends, especially for Sunday dinner. My passion for culinary came at an early age as I watched and helped my grandmother in the kitchen on holidays. She would go all out, catering to each of our favorites. But it was the daily time we spent together that birthed “Flavaz.” I would lay across her bed on the weekends and watch the Food Network and read food magazines, and next thing you know we’re eating a meal with a freestyle recipe.

A Big Gain from a Big Loss. On June 4 2014, my Nana took her last breath. I was heartbroken, not knowing how to deal with the death of my person, the one that raised me and made me the woman I am today. After her passing, I searched for a way to remain close to her. I started to become more creative in the kitchen, which was, and still is, very therapeutic. I prayed for over two years for GOD to allow me to be my own boss while still being able to take care of my family. My happiness comes from creating and sharing my passion for food and telling a unique story by crafting events that deliver unforgettable moments with my family, friends, and clients. In May of 2019, I walked out on faith and retired from cosmetology and caregiving to be a full time chef and entrepreneur. I started my catering company, “Flavaz LLC”.

The Experience. “Flava” is what makes a person different. The personality, style and traits that make them stand out from the rest. This is what the FlavazExperience is all about— bringing out the “Flava” in our clients and combining it with our unique touch. Our goal is to bring back the feel of dinner at the dining room table, with our fresh, mouth watering comfort foods. We also enjoy bringing our experience and valuable partnerships with other small businesses in the community to bring our clients unparalleled experiences in food and the celebration of life's most delicious moments.
